Goals of the Eight-Week Program:
o Participation in an exercise program that leads to weight loss.
o Increased awareness of healthy foods.
o Increased understanding of emotional eating triggers.
o Identification of healthy options and alternatives that incorporate eating out, birthday parties, and other family celebrations.
o Completion of a weekly food journal that notes progress on weekly program goals.

Founded by registered dietitian Wendy Crump, this eight-week program provides one-on-one nutrition counseling and fitness solutions tailored to each participant’s strengths and unique challenges. A certified personal trainer leads fun, interactive small group classes two times per week and recommends additional activities each participant can easily incorporate into his or her weekly routine.

Throughout the eight-week course, Kids on the Run participants:

o
Engage in supervised, designated program exercises one-hour per day, twice per week
o
Work individually with a registered dietitian.
o
Learn how to read and understand food labels.
o
Learn coping strategies to shift emotional eating.
o
Identify their own portion size based on their age.
